An architecturally inspired stool: an angular solid-ash base with two iron rods for support and visual interest, and a seat upholstered in a textured linen-blend performance fabric.
Style Advice from Rachel Blindauer
A stool that reads as furniture, not a bar accessory. The angled ash base gives an island or a bar a bit of sculpture at every angle, and the toasted finish sits easily with white oak, walnut, and stone counters. I use the counter height for kitchen islands and the bar height for a proper home bar or a raised counter; either way, leave about 10–12 inches between the seat and the underside of the counter so it's comfortable to sit at. Three at a long island is the number — two feels sparse, four feels crowded.
