Some cabinet hardware is functional. This is jewelry for your cabinetry.
Style Advice from Rachel Blindauer
The Ashcombe Marble Cabinet Knob is a study in disciplined geometry — its faceted, angular planes cut from a single piece of natural stone, each one catching light differently depending on the hour. This is not hardware that disappears into a cabinet door. It announces itself with quiet authority.
Available in seven natural stones, from Carrara white to Rosso burgundy to Viola purple, each knob carries its own veining and character. No two are exactly alike. That specificity is the point.
Hardware is the place where so many otherwise beautiful kitchens lose the plot — they spend on counters and cabinetry and then install the most generic knob on the market. The Ashcombe does the opposite of that. It's architectural without being trendy, material without being precious. I keep coming back to it because it reads differently in every stone: Carrara feels calm and Scandinavian; Rosso feels like something from a Milanese apartment.
At this size (1.77 inches), it works on both drawer faces and cabinet doors without overwhelming either. That versatility is rare in statement hardware.
Product Description +
On white or putty Shaker cabinets, the Carrara reads clean and elevated — almost architectural. On dark cabinetry, Verde or Black Marquina creates a tonal, sophisticated moment. Rosso and Viola are the choice for those who want their hardware to function as a design decision, not an afterthought.
Because each knob has natural variation, I recommend ordering two sample finishes before committing to a full kitchen quantity. The stone reads differently on screen than in person.
Rachel's Principle: Hardware is the jewelry of a room. Don't match it to the faucet — contrast it intentionally.
The knob that makes someone stop and ask where you found it. That's what good hardware does.
