A large, biomorphic vessel cast in pale cement, its rounded forms borrowed straight from mid-century sculpture.
Style Advice from Rachel Blindauer
Ducoli takes its cues from Jean Arp's sculpture, and it shows — the soft, biomorphic curves make it feel like art first, vessel second. I love it alone on a low console or coffee table, where its scale and shape can really be appreciated, but it also layers beautifully with its smaller companion, the Matili bowl, since both are cast from the same cement family. Use two Ducoli bowls together for an even more sculptural, gallery-like grouping.
Product Description +
Handcrafted in Mexico, the Ducoli Organic Large Bowl takes its inspiration from the sculpture of Jean Arp, translating his soft, biomorphic forms into a tabletop-scale piece. It works equally well as a stand-alone sculptural object or as a catchall for florals, small objects, or anything decorative — as cast cement, it's best kept for display rather than food or liquids.
Ducoli is proof that a functional bowl can also be, quite simply, a piece of sculpture.
