Hand-shaped cast in solid brass — hardware that carries the memory of the hand that made it.

Style Advice from Rachel Blindauer

The Fold Knob was born from a sheet of clay, rolled by hand and pinched in the middle, then cast in brass. That origin is visible in every curve — its wave-like profile and softly undulating form can't be machined. It can only be made. The result is a knob that feels as good as it looks: substantial, warm, and impossible to mistake for anything mass-produced.

The Fold comes in four finishes from polished nickel to oil-rubbed bronze — a range wide enough to anchor a bright, clean kitchen or disappear warmly into a darker, richer one.

Wavy and organic hardware has had a moment, and most of it looks exactly like what it is: a trend chased in zinc alloy. The Fold is different because it started with an actual hand shaping actual clay. There's an honesty to the form — you can feel it when you touch it. That tactile quality is what makes hardware worth investing in: you interact with it dozens of times a day.

I particularly love the Polished Nickel on white or greige cabinetry — it reads clean and slightly European. Oil Rubbed Bronze on walnut or navy cabinetry is something else entirely: moody, warm, like a piece of furniture from another era.

Product Description +

The Fold reads as a statement knob — its scale (2.76 inches) works best on cabinet doors and large drawer faces rather than small utility drawers. In a powder room, one on a single vanity drawer is enough. In a kitchen, mixing Fold knobs with a simple linear pull on lower cabinets creates a layered, collected feel without visual chaos.

On a dresser or nightstand, the Polished Brass version takes on an almost sculptural quality — like a small art object you open every morning.

Rachel's Principle: Handmade hardware is the quiet flex. Let the knob speak; let everything else be calm.

The mark of a hand, captured in brass — hardware with a story worth telling.
