I like this bowl on a bar cart or console where its dramatic scalloped base can really show off — it reads almost like a small sculpture. The smooth black marble surface pairs well with brass, dark wood, and warm metallics, and I often use it to hold a single stem or a small stack of matchboxes. Because the base has such striking presence, I'd give it room to breathe rather than crowding it with other objects. It's one of my favorite pieces for adding a touch of drama to a vignette without shouting.

Artisans hand-carve each of these bowls from black marble, giving the base an exaggerated scalloped shape and the interior a smooth, polished finish. As a naturally occurring stone, the marble's veining and color can range from pale gray to black, so gentle variation between pieces is expected.
