This is one of my favorite ways to bring texture and glow to a wall without adding bulk. The ribbed glass catches light the way cut crystal does — softer, more forgiving, endlessly interesting to look at whether the bulb is on or off. I spec it in pairs flanking a mirror or headboard more often than almost anything else in my lighting kit, and I size up or down depending on the wall: the XS tucks in beside a powder room mirror, the S is my go-to for bedside pairs, and the XL makes a real statement in an entry or stairwell.
