A wool tweed underfoot — beige, brown, and ivory spun together so no single color ever wins.
Style Advice from Rachel Blindauer
Hand-tufted from 100% wool with a dense, plush 0.65-inch pile. The tweed effect comes from blending differently dyed yarns rather than printing a pattern, which means the color reads differently depending on where you stand and never looks flat.
Cotton canvas backing, clean-finished edges. This is the rug that solves a room without deciding it — warm enough to feel intentional, quiet enough to sit under anything.
Solid rugs are harder than patterned rugs. A flat solid shows every crumb and every traffic path; a tweed hides both while still reading as a solid from across the room. That is the whole reason this construction exists.
Wool is a smart choice for a high-traffic room. It resists crushing, releases dirt more readily than synthetic fibers, and is widely regarded as more durable over time than synthetic alternatives with proper care.
Product Description +
Size up. In a living room, all front legs of the seating should sit on the rug — in a dining room, the chairs should stay on it when pulled out. An undersized rug makes a room look smaller, not bigger.
Use a proper rug pad. It adds cushion, keeps the rug from creeping, and roughly doubles the life of the pile.
Rachel's Principle: The rug is the floor plan. Buy the size the room needs, not the size that was on sale.
Tufted by hand, one loop at a time.

Why does a solid-color rug show less dirt than I'd expect? +
Because it's not actually one flat color — the tweed effect comes from blending differently dyed wool yarns, so it reads as a solid from across the room but hides crumbs and traffic patterns a flat solid would show.
Do I need a rug pad underneath it? +
Yes — a proper rug pad adds cushion, keeps the rug from creeping on the floor, and roughly doubles the life of the pile.
How is it shipped, and what does that cost? +
Shipping cost depends on the size you choose: the 18" sample and 3'x5' ship for a flat $15–$35, while 8'x10' and 9'x12' qualify for free shipping over $750. Every shipment is insured in transit; if anything arrives damaged, report it within 48 hours with photos and it will be made right. U.S. shipping only.
