The Vesper Marble Desk Lamp is built around a quiet architectural trick: two flared brass columns rise from the honed marble base and appear to pierce straight through a metal oval shade, each tapering into its own finial. One finial is purely sculptural; the other is a working dimmer switch, disguised in plain sight.
Light comes from an integrated LED strip concealed behind an acrylic diffuser on the underside of the shade, rated for up to 50,000 hours — no bulbs to source or swap. Because the base is honed natural marble, veining and tone vary piece to piece, so no two lamps are quite alike.
