A rectangular mirror in a slim, brushed brass frame that can be hung portrait or landscape — real presence without visual weight.
Style Advice from Rachel Blindauer
I reach for the Bruges when a wall needs light more than it needs another object. The thin brass line frames the reflection instead of competing with it, so it works equally well with warm white plaster, grasscloth, or a moody painted wall. Hung vertically, it gives an entry or a narrow hallway a full-length check-on-the-way-out moment; turned horizontal, it sits beautifully above a console, a double vanity, or a low dresser.
My placement rule: hang it where it reflects something worth seeing twice — a window, a lamp, a piece of art — rather than a blank wall or a doorway. For a vanity, center it on the sink and keep roughly 5–10 inches between the top of the backsplash and the bottom of the frame.
