An oversized rectangular mirror in a slim, brushed brass frame — quiet, light-filled architecture rather than decoration.
Style Advice from Rachel Blindauer
The Sintra is the piece I use when a room needs scale without clutter. At this size, a mirror stops being an accessory and starts behaving like a window: it doubles the light, deepens the room, and gives a large wall a finished, intentional feel without the cost or weight of oversized art.
In a dining room, hang it opposite or beside a window so it carries daylight and candlelight across the table. Behind a primary bed or a long sofa, keep it landscape and let it run about two-thirds the width of the furniture below. On a stair landing, go portrait. The slim brushed brass frame keeps it calm with oak, plaster, stone, and soft neutrals.
